Pregnancy in Switzerland – How I Chose a Doctor

I chose a doctor on the recommendation of a friend.

His office was an apartment converted into a hospital. Yes, you got it right, an apartment. Swiss doctors have a widespread private practice. Their workplace can even be located in a residential building.

A waiting room with leather armchairs, a small private laboratory, a waiting room with works of art and shelves on the walls , always a polite and gallant doctor.

I went there with pleasure, as if not to the hospital but to a good friend to discuss upcoming important events for me.

I had a detailed blood test on the first day, then only an ultrasound. The blood is taken on the spot, and in ten minutes the doctor already accepts you with the results.

Closer to the deadline, I was offered to choose the hospital where I would give birth.
